I was supposed to meet Theresa and Kyle at 6pm on the day the world was supposed to end. At one point the rain beat so badly (as I waited umbrella-less under a bridge on one of the transverse roads near Central Park while being splashed at by oncoming traffic) that I thought it just might. After it finally it cleared up I found the couple after trekking through a bunch of really magical-looking windy paths – near the Belvedere castle. We were lucky to get those last few pre-sunset rays.

This photo gives me shivers when I look at it. I love Theresa’s genuine smile and how the sun plays with the color of her eyes.
