Only recently did Inna call me to tell me she was engaged. Thankfully, I was available both to be at and to shoot her wedding. I’ve known Inna since Northeaster University. I met her and her sister Yana in a chemistry class (I was a Bio major after all) and we’ve been close friends ever since. Feel free to view all the wedding photos HERE on Smugmug or see a quick slideshow of Inna and Arkady’s wedding HERE!
We did the “first look” shots in Beverly MA at a scenic location next to the ocean.
Inna and her sister Yana are both very talented in a handy kind of way. Inna bakes amazing cakes with intricate details (see below) and Yana makes bouquets for fun. Yes, she made this one too!
Inna is a prostodontic dentist and studied for many hard years at Tufts. I was there to celebrate the excitement when she just got into dental school.
Yana’s bouquet next to Inna’s shoes.
It was a pretty cool day, so we sort of had to wrap it up in under an hour.
Day of. Getting ready at bride’s parents home.
Bride’s father and brother-in-law walking to the church.
Inna’s grandmother putting on the shawl. She told me proudly “almost all my grandkids are married now… just two more boys left to go”.
The ceremony was held at St. John the Confessor’s Church in Ipswich MA. The church and its congregants are mostly Russian speaking, as are Inna and Arkady.
Bride’s sister Yana is watching the ceremony next to her husband. I shot Yana and Shali’s wedding as well over 2 years ago.
Family watching at St. John the Confessor Church.
The reception was held at the Ipswich Country Club in Ipswich MA. Two words: gorgeous land. Photos below. Here is Inna’s and Arkady’s ‘first dance’.
Guests and family cheering on during the bride and groom’s first dance.
Cake cutting time. Did Inna actually make all the details of the cake which was entirely edible? You bet.
And this is a little product of Yana and Shali held by the bride’s father who has a hard time letting go of this child whenever he sees her.
Back in Beverly MA – I love how Inna’s dress and the boat play with each other.
Family and friend photos at the Ipswich Country Club.
Inna’s grandmother in ecstasy near her new grandson-in-law.
The newlyweds walking on the grounds right behind the Ipswich Country Club… which was just one of the most gorgeous views I’ve seen.
Inna’s niece Maya playing ‘roll down the hill’ with other kids.
I’ve spotted them! Family and friends walked around the grounds towards the end of the wedding (the food was delicious by the way).
