Well, more like a half french wedding.
Laeti and Max are the adorable couple whom I previously posted the engagement shoot for, that I photographed about a month ago. They are awesome and lovely.
Feel free to browse some of my favorites below, or check out the entire gallery from the wedding here!
Whispering in Maxes ear before the ceremony. Laeti waited in a room upstairs before presenting herself to the guests.
Shoes and ring shot. The urban feel of Union Square provided an appropriate backdrop for the shoe shot. I found the books in the kitchen… I saw the word “French” and felt like they should be included. It took me a while to find this perfect nook for the ring shot, but once I did I was pretty pleased.
Loved Laeti’s hairpiece… to the point that I actually became a little obsessed, and at one point chased a woman down the street asking her where she got her hairpiece.
In the lobby of the building. Never underestimate the building lobby!!! Especially if it looks like that.
What was the code to the building again? Hard to remember stuff like this when you are a ball of nerves (this was pre-ceremony).
Walking down the street.
The adorable window displays around the Union Square area. How could you not play around them??
Love these urban shots. I remember seeing this type of setup for wedding photography long before I started shooting weddings, and it really excited me. I think that a beautiful bride (that Laeti most definitely was) looks even more special in the midst of urban visual noise… I think it’s the contrast that brings her out.
Laeti descended down this stairway to walk with her father to the groom. The space was beautiful and I believe that to my luck it used to be (or still is) a photography studio.
A shot from the top of the stairs. I would say there were around 80 guests and the studio space was perfect in size, making it feel like an enormous living room. The space was super comfortable in addition to being extremely photogenic.
The ceremony kiss!
Laeti’s dad.
I used the backdrop of the white curtains to take group and friend shots during a later part of the wedding. You can see more posed (and lots of non-posed) shots in the gallery!
